Listen up everyone. I'm Cordelia Chase, and I'm a new warden around here. You don't know of me yet, but don't worry, you will with time. I'm not the sort of person you forget.

So what's exactly the deal with this place? Things I need to know? Are there places to shop? Cute guys too oogle? I need the dish. This place is certainly way different than Los Angeles was, that's for sure.

Also, to my inmate, I hope you don't think I'm someone you can push around, buddy. Because I'm not. I'm sure whoever you are, I've dealt with bigger and badder stuff in the past, so save it for someone who cares. You can either let me help me, or I can make you let me.

It's your choice.

He was here for a while, but he left a month or two ago. We were close friends until he got Barge Amnesia.

He told me about you. I'm sorry he left before you could say hello.

Barge amnesia?

It's okay. I said goodbye to him before I left. I wasn't expecting to see him here. It's better he's where he belongs, being a Champion.

Sometimes, the people here will disappear for a little while and come back. Occasionally, they forget their entire experience here in the process.

I miss him.

Weird.

It's hard not to miss him.

Yeah, but not as weird as half the things that happen here.

I'm Libby, by the way. I'm normally an athletic, middle-aged blonde woman--it's just that I'm in my boyfriend's body today. It's good finally to meet you, after hearing about you.

So I keep hearing. Weird things happened back home though. I grew up in Sunnydale, weird is the norm there.

It's nice to meet you to. Guess I picked a time to arrive, no one is in their proper bodies.

Between having Angel as a friend and Drusilla as an inmate, I've been pretty thoroughly exposed to your town's brand of weird.

You should have seen the last flood. Most of us turned into animals.

Drusilla was here? And you had her as an inmate? I don't envy you there.

Animals? Seriously? What other kind of things have happened?

She was very protective of me, and she didn't kill a single person after I was assigned to her. We had sleepovers and she walked my puppy. I like to think I made some progress, and I was really fond of her.

Let's see...we've all turned into small children, our moral opposites, 80s high school stereotypes, the opposite sex...we've traded places with the people from our own worlds we loved the most, experienced hallucinations of our fears when alone...

And that's minus the riots, hostile takeovers, ports and general chaos.

That doesn't sound like Drusilla. The Dru I knew was...really crazy. But it's kind of nice to know this place really does help people, if it was helping someone like her.

Well, at least I won't get homesick.

Don't get me wrong, she was pretty out there. She knew killing or hurting people would upset me, so she had a habit of graphically threatening everyone I argued with instead.

Yeah, there's always that.

Well, threatening is better than killing. It's a step, anyways.
